The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department and the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority will continue its COVID-19 vaccination efforts by holding small-scale clinics in communities throughout Kanawha County.
KCHD will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 5 until 7 p.m. this evening at Elkview Baptist Church, 1150 Main Street, in Elkview. Walk-ins are welcome.
Additionally, KCHD and KCEAA will hold a drive-up vaccination clinic from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday, April 30 at Shawnee Sports Complex in Dunbar to provide second doses for those who were vaccinated there at our drive-up clinic April 2.
Additional vaccination clinics will be announced in the future.
“Our large-scale weekly vaccination clinics at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center will be on pause after Saturday’s event, but that doesn’t mean we’re stopping our vaccination efforts,” said Dr. Sherri Young, health officer and executive director of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department. “We have to take the vaccine to where people are.”
COVID-19 vaccines are also available by appointment at KCHD to those over age 16. To schedule, call 304-348-8080.
